Playa Dominical
Dominical is a small, laid back village right at the coastline. The beach spans the village and beyond. The mouth of the River Baru divides the beath, creates interesting currents for surfers and swimming. It sits at the north end of the village.
Playa Dominical is great for learning to surf, watching skilled surfers, swimming and watching the paragliders land. All of these provide great entertainment and opportunities for great photographs. You can rent a surfboard or sign up for lessons at Costa Rica Surf Camp or other surf shops nearby.
Playa Dominical is the perfect place if you are looking for a beach where you can also get food & drinks, and shop in town or with the street vendors lining the beach. There are several markets, shops and bar restaurants in town. The town and beach are easily accessible from the main coastal highway #34; just follow the signs; you can’t miss it.
