Getting married in Costa Rica is very inexpensive and very easy, and legal requirements are few. We offer several complete wedding packages at very low prices to suit every wish and budget. Packages include meals and a weeks stay in our hotel, several tours, the ceremony (with English speaking lawyer and professional photographer) and transportation.

Getting married in Costa Rica is easy, inexpensive, and fun! But, in order to make your mariage legal, some paperwork is required.
We need, for both the bride and the groom, at least one month in advance:
- Name
- Profession
- Passport Numbers - Foreign Address
- Birth Date - Place of Birth - Nationality
- Father's full name
- Mother's full maiden name
- Parent's address
- Original copy of passportTwo witnesses are required to sign the necessary documents. If you do not bring your own witnesses, our friendly staff will be more than happy to take the honors. Official copy of original divorce certified or notarized at Costa Rica's Consulate or Embassy for women that have been married before, 300 days since the official date of the divorce must have passed, and the name of the former husband is required (if applicable)

Wedding packages
The two wedding packages we offer are the standard wedding package and a luxurious wedding package, both in our beautiful and romantic resort. These are standard packages, and you are free to discuss any changes you would like to make. In fact, we encourage you to do so, since we wish your wedding to be everything you could wish for, and we define our work by the quality of your memories of the most beautiful day of your life.
Standard wedding Package
Our standard wedding package includes 1 night in San Jose (either the first or last, depending on flights) in the El Sesteo hotel, 6 nights in our beautiful Villas Rio Mar resort, breakfast, lunch and dinner, transfers, a wedding cake and a complete ceremony, a bouquet for the bride, a tropical fruits basket, 4 adventure tours and a professional photographer for the wedding.
Day 0: arrival
After arriving at Juan Santamaria airport in San Jose, you will be picked up and taken to the comfortable hotel El Sesteo in San Jose, where you will spend the night. (Note: the stay in El Sesteo can also be arranged for the last night of your trip, whatever suits your flight schedule best.)
Day 1: Playa Dominical
After enjoying your breakfast in El Sesteo, our driver will pick you up and take you to our beautiful Villas Rio Mar resort. During the drive from San Jose to Dominical you can enjoy several kinds of tropical forest and highlands and gorgeous mountain views. After arriving in Dominical you will be welcomed by our friendly staff, and a nice fruit plate. You can spend the afternoon exploring Dominical and its pristine beaches, or stay and relax at our swimming pool or tennis court. Dinning at night in our restaurant with our special menu of one of our Daily Specials.
Day 2: Tour to Nauyaca waterfalls
This day you'll go on a horseback tour to the famous Nauyaca waterfalls, or Nauyaca waterfalls are generally considered the most beautiful waterfalls of Central America. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are all arranged.
Day 3: Hacienda Baru - Canopy Tour and Self-guided trails
Hacienda Baru offers an amazing bio-diversity and an abundant flora and fauna. Their flight of the Toucan tour allows you to experience the rainforest canopy as a toucan; at high elevation and high speed, for the truly adventurous. Breakfast and dinner is included this day.
Day 4: Surfing Lessons
This day you'll have 2 hours of surfing instructions at Dominical beach with some world class instructors. Includes: dry practice, safety instruction, surfboard and instructor. Breakfast and dinner is included this day.
Day 5: Wedding Day
This day you will have breakfast in bed, after which we will have a photo-shoot (digital) in our beautiful gardens. The wedding ceremony will be held in on the beach, in our garden or our conference hall in the jungle by a Costa Rican notary. At night you will have a romantic candlelight dinner with champagne, either at the pool or in our restaurant and your wedding cake as desert.
Day 6: Kayaking to Hatillo Magrove Swamp
You'll go kayaking in the mangroves swamps where you can discover this beautiful eco-system and all the wild life that lives there! Breakfast and dinner included this day.
Day 7: Back to San José
After breakfast or brunch, our driver will take you to the airport in San Jose (or to hotel El Sesteo, depending on your flight schedule).
Luxury wedding Package
Our luxury wedding package includes 1 night in San Jose (either the first or last, depending on flights) a suite in the El Sesteo hotel, 6 nights in our beautiful Villas Rio Mar resort, breakfast, lunch and dinner a la carte, transfers, a wedding cake and a complete ceremony, a bouquet for the bride, a tropical fruits basket, a photo-shoot of the wedding ceremony (normal and digital), room service on request, 4 adventure tours, a massage and a professional photographer for the wedding.
Day 0: arrival

Day 2: Tour to Corcovado or Caño Island National Park
You can choose this day to go on one of the Costa Rica's 2 best National Parks….
Corcovado National Park: Here you can find 65% of Costa Rica's biodiversity. This park is considered by National Geographic as the third best National Parks of the world. You can see up to four species of monkeys, snakes, sloth's, and agoutis. Chance to see humpback, pilot whales, dolphins, sharks, etc.
Snorkeling at Caño Island: The best spot in Costa Rica for scuba diving and snorkeling because of its visibility about 20 meters (50 ft) and has lots of species of fish, turtles, manta rays, dolphins, whales and…. friendly sharks. On the Island, a well maintained trail leads uphill into a rain forest environment where you can see trees 50 meters high. There is a chance to see dolphins, and humpback and pilot whales, depending on the season.
When you come back at night, our restaurant awaits you to feed your hungry stomach.

This day you will have breakfast in bed. Somewhere after breakfast it's relax time…you'll both get a wonderful 60 min. massage by our Massage therapist. You'll come back hungry, so it's lunch time and according with the time you want to get married, we will have a photo-shoot (normal and digital) in our beautiful gardens and/or beach. The wedding ceremony will be held in on the beach, in our garden or our conference hall in the jungle by a Costa Rican notary.
At night you will have a romantic candlelight dinner with champagne specially prepared by our chef, either at the pool or in our restaurant and your wedding cake as desert.
Day 6: Kayaking & Snorkeling or Kayaking Waves & Caves
After breakfast or brunch you'll go snorkeling in Ballena National Marine Park. You can choose between:
Kayaking & Snorkeling: You paddle for 1,5 hour easily around on the Pacific Ocean eventually arriving at Ballena Island where your guides will set you up with drinks and fruits, and prepare you for snorkeling around the island. Or you can choose just to relax or discover the caves of the island.
Waves & Caves: For 1.30 hour we will go along the coast where you will witness the most beautiful scenery of "5 Ventanas", tropical forest, reefs, beaches and a great variety of fauna. Besides this we will take you through 2 of the 25 caves we will bump into. After this adrenaline time we go to one of the most beautiful beaches of the "Playa 5 Ventanas" area where you will be set up for drinks and fruits in a tropical style. Two more caves will be accessible by walking through them, you also have some time for kayak surfing.

Day 7: Back to San José
After breakfast or brunch, our driver will take you to the airport in San Jose (or to hotel El Sesteo, depending on your flight schedule).
