SNORKELING BALLENA NATIONAL PARK Tour duration: 2-3 hours This tour is offered in Ballena Marine Park. This National Park was created in 1990 to preserve the coral reef live; 4500 ha of sea which surround Las Tres Hermanas Islands and the very beautiful beaches full of coconut palms trees, almond trees and poros which are around the bay of the park. In the park we can find sponges, coral, mollusk, algae's, echinoderms, crabs and other creatures which are adapted to the strong swell. The boat departs from Punta Uvita to the island where you will snorkel for about 2 hours. The best time to do it is during low tide. Tour operation: December to April. The other part of the year is possible to organize the tour but we can not guarantee good visibility because of rains.
