Rancho La Merced

Rancho La Merced is a Wildlife Refuge, located on the Pacific Coast, near the Ballena Marine National Park.

It covers an area of 506 hectares of primary and secondary tropical wet forest, besides pastures, mangroves next to Morete River and the beach.

It is definitely a great place to explore, where you can find beautiful birds, reptiles, insects and mammals.

Come and enjoy a horseback riding with carefully trained horses for you to have a safe and enjoyable experience.

Children are welcome. We have saddles for children from 7 years and older. For your safeness, we provide safety helmets without any additional cost.

Also offered bird watching and hiking tours with naturalist guide or self-guided.
